How to Ride Transit Using Your Phone

  • Download your mobile app of choice from the options above
  • Purchase passes to use immediately or store them for future rides (note: an internet connection is required to purchase and activate a mobile pass)
  • As the bus approaches open your app and tap your pass to activate
  • Once onboard follow instructions in the app to validate your ticket

Name Description
SunVan

ID Required

Certification required. See eligibility requirements for details - https://www.cabq.gov/transit/paratransit-service/sun-van-eligibility-requirements.
Honored Citizen

ID Required

Age 62+ or mobility impaired. Honored Citizens, including Medicare cardholders, must show picture identification.
College/Vocational

ID Required

For college and vocational school students (non UNM or CNM), a current school class schedule must be provided when purchasing a College bus pass.
Adult
Student

ID Required

Age 10 through High School. Middle and High School students must show a valid school or ABQ RIDE ID.
Indigent

ID Required

Please be prepared to show ID. Visit https://www.cabq.gov/transit for more information.

Fare Descriptions

Name Description
1 Ride

Valid for a single ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
1 Day

Unlimited rides for one day.
1 Month

Commuter pass for unlimited rides for 31 consecutive days.
3 Month

Commuter pass for unlimited rides for three (3) consecutive months.
6 Month

Commuter pass for unlimited rides for six (6) consecutive months.
12 Month

Commuter pass for unlimited rides for 12 consecutive months.
1 Way

Valid for a SunVan one way ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
10 Ride

Pack of 10 SunVan passes, each valid for 30 minutes after first use.
